PRIME Contemporary Grill brings a new dimension of culinary sophistication to Mauritius. This sleek and sexy dining venue offers an exceptional menu, serving only the finest Australian Angus Wagyu beef, fresh seafood and organic produce. Guests are invited to experience superb cuisine in casually hip, modern surroundings, perfect for evenings of great food, great wine and great conversation. Headlined by the resort’s award-winning culinary team, the decadent menu serves revisited classics with a critical focus on purity, quality and freshness. Dishes will range from Frothy Mushroom Cream Soup with Perigord Truffle to Pan-roasted Rock Lobster and Slow-cooked Wagyu Beef Short Ribs. The real steakhouse experience comes from The Grill with mouth-watering selections such as an “Toma Hawk” Rib of Beef for two or an Australian Angus Grain-fed Rib Eye. Contemporary décor adds a chic and stylish atmosphere to the restaurant. Burnt-orange walls with terracotta undertones, creamy-white leather club chairs and ambient lighting create the perfect backdrop for exceptional dining.

Rasoi by Vineet features the contemporary Indian cuisine of Vineet Bhatia, whose Michelin-starred London Chelsea restaurant was named "Indian Restaurant of the Year" just a year after it opened.

Located along the water's edge, the restaurant enjoys a magnificent natural setting, with views of the green sugarcane-clad mountains and the private lagoon. Dining at Rasoi by Vineet is a multi-sensory experience, from the atmospheric tropical fans and bespoke chill-out music to the delectable aromas from the wood-fired oven and open Tandoor.

A constantly changing Tasting Menu whets the appetite; and the dazzling A La Carte menu includes Vineet’s interpretations of classic Indian dishes. Wines are carefully selected to match the complex and intense flavours of Vineet’s cooking and the resident sommelier conducts regular wine and food pairing dinners.

Surrounding the pool and overlooking the Indian Ocean, La Terrasse offers an eclectic variety of local and international specialties. Following a fitness consultation, your personal trainer will help you find the perfect balance of physical activity to suit your needs and goals using a variety of modalities. Two packages are available:

Golf

The lush Gary Player 9-hole, par-33 course, complete with its own clubhouse and One&Only Golf Academy, offers complimentary green fees for guests. Instruction for players of any level is available at the One&Only Golf Academy, from intensive training with video analysis, to fine-tuning game play on the practice range followed by 9 holes with the pro, to a fun day on the greens with the whole family.

Tee times can be booked at the Hugh Baicchi-designed 18-hole Legend course nearby.

Surrounded by palm trees and the lagoon – and illuminated for night play, too – five north-facing synthetic grass courts are available for play anytime day or night. The resort's tennis pro is also available for individual coaching.

Excursions

On an island regarded for its fabulous waterfalls, coastline, flora and fauna, guests may discover nature reserves, reefs for snorkeling, hiking trails, and the Botanical Pamplemousses Garden, known for its collection of indigenous and exotic plants, including the giant water lilies and the talipot palm, which is meant to flower every sixty years and then die.

Port Louis, capital city of Mauritius, bustles with shopping at the vibrant Caudan waterfront and the colourful market fragrant with the scent of exotic spices.

Not to be missed is a visit to Mahebourg, where an 18th century colonial residence houses the Naval Museum. Here, numerous relics recovered from shipwrecks are on display with a collection of maps and etchings depicting the legend of 'Paul et Virginie,' the Bernardin de Saint-Pierre story of innocent young love that is so synonymous with the natural beauty and history of Mauritius.

Complimentary water sports abound at One&Only Le Saint Géran, with the calm waters of the cove providing ideal conditions for kayaks, pedal boats, as well as complimentary water-skiing and the coral-sea lagoon on the ocean side offering exceptional snorkeling, windsurfing, Hobie Cats and mono-hull lasers.

Mauritius is a paradise for water-lovers, and some of the world's most prominent names in water sports have found a home at One&Only Le Saint Géran. Guests may choose to perfect their skills – or simply learn a new sport – at The John Battleday Water-ski and Wakeboard Academy (JBWA). Our four time world champion coach, Francis Koot can assist you with any personalized coaching requirements you may need.

The vast white sand beach, beautiful flat water lagoon and challenging reef waves make the resort the finest kite surfing destination on the island. Our VIP Kite & Stand Up Paddle (SUP) School, both offering novice to advanced instruction.

All water sports are offered complimentary, with the exception of kite surfing, JBWA instruction, fishing, parasailing adventures and banana boat, tube and speedboat rides, which are available for a nominal price.

One&Only Le Saint Géran nestles peacefully in the silver white sands of its own private peninsula. Under the sway of hundreds of coconut palms, immaculate gardens run right down to the edge of the coral-sand beach. Comfort services, refreshments and light dishes are provided attentively yet unobtrusively in the restful ambiance of the beach and pool.

Guests enjoy watersports in a cobalt blue lagoon, offering the very best diving, snorkelling, sailing, water-skiiing, windsurfing and kite surfing.

For the ultimate Mauritius Family holiday we offer KidsOnly which is a fully supervised club for children ages 3-11 years old. The complimentary club offers a range of daily programmes and age-appropriate activities between the hours of 10am and 10pm. Daily supervised themed activity programmes are adapted to all age groups with a focus on discovery, education, local culture, nature, sports, arts and crafts.

The KidsOnly Club is a shipwreck theme following the original Le Saint Géran story with sails, wood plank walls, barrels and centre post to simulate ship elements. There is a games and arts and crafts area; a computer room featuring four slim Apple iMacs, printing facilities and Wi-Fi access; a movie room equipped with seventh generation video game systems and the latest games for all ages; plus a colorful Toddler room with dedicated outside sand play area.

The large exterior playground features a swimming pool and private dining area leading to an extended grass play area. A variety of exciting themed activities, run by our professional KidsOnly counselors await all our young guests and their families for a memorable experience.

Children under three years old must always be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Baby-sitters are available at a nominal charge.

Dressed as mini-gardeners and equipped with watering cans, children aged 3-11 can explore and discover local flora through the Summer in the Garden programme. With instruction from the resident gardener and under supervision of the KidsOnly Coordinator, children are invited to indulge in an afternoon of gardening and discovery at the resort’s Kids Only herb garden.
