Like an African kingdom of old, Damara Mopane Lodge is constructed in a semi-circle of interlinking pathways leading to a generous pool at its heart. Innovatively designed, each chalet looks out on its own garden planted with seasonal vegetables. Sunflowers watching the travelling sun peep out between verdant spinach and beetroot, and zany scarecrows scattered throughout the gardens smile happily to the sky. They add their character to the enchanting setting, creatively designed by architects, visionaries and landscape artists.

Each of the 55 double room chalets (with air conditioning) sits in a vegetable and herb garden surrounded by a low wall. The gardens supply fresh ingredients for supper, which consists of a hot starter followed by a delicious platter.

Guests are invited to view the sun set over Damaraland.
The sundowner deck is situated a small walking distance from the lodge.

You have two different hiking trails to choose from. They are well marked and take you through the wildly romantic scenery of the Damara Mopane Lodge house mountain.
